Week-4:My Reflections

Hi All,

Greetings from India.

It’s hard to believe that we are at the end of the forth week, this week I have gone through the reading tasks, I spend much time on reading the articles “Using the Internet in ESL Writing Instruction by Jarek Krajka” and “Three Extensive Reading Activities for ESL/EFL Students Using E-books by Mei-Ya Liang" here I made a mistake that without reading Donna’s instruction, I posted in nicenet then she made some suggestions to improve my post.

My next task is to prepare technology linked lesson plan this task has made me joyful  because I have been doing this in my teacher training sessions so immediately I found a video which I have used in my class i.e. ‘the first well’ story form YouTube. And made a lesson plan on a topic how videos can be used in ESL class room to make our teaching effective and posted it to nicenet. I got an appreciation form Donna, it’s stimulating and appealing.

Task – 3 is to describing the students and class room problem that can be resolved using technology, teacher related  or a students related here I have chosen “ E-portfolios” but I am afraid whether I can do that with in four weeks, I don’t know but I hope that at least I will do my best.

Last but not the least is to commenting on other co-participants posts. I commented on Alicja’s post here I came across the free educational tools that can be installed to teach 21 century skills like gaming, movie making, photo editing software, and these tools enlighten my knowledge of educational technology.

Finally Blog post here it is…
Please post your comments ….
Have a Good day,

Vinay

  1. Dear Vinay,

    How are you doing?

I am glad that we all are getting so busily engaged at upgrading our teaching skills through the aid of the web. Finding a class problem to try to solve it with technology was indeed very hard for me as well. But the thing is we English teachers if we take a a closer look at most of our classroom problem they largely result from lack of motivation with our students at learning the skills, and I think technology is our timely answer to solve such a problem, don't you think so?

    Best regards,

    Daniel
